Cancer Research Centre Completes
We’re thrilled to announce the completion of the new Paterson building at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester. Our Re-Write Cancer campaign, a £20 million joint fundraising effort from The University of Manchester, Cancer Research UK and The Christie Charitable Fund, played a role in raising awareness and funds towards this £150m project. With support from high-net-worth donors and the public, this campaign has contributed significantly to the development of what will soon be one of the world’s top-five cancer research centres.
The Paterson building adds to Manchester’s legacy of Team Science, bringing together Europe’s largest concentration of leading clinicians, researchers and specialists under one roof. Purpose-built to accelerate the pace of discovery, this state-of-the-art facility will accelerate the development of groundbreaking therapies, positively impacting on patient outcomes in the UK and across the world.
